Kailashtilla II, Gas Plant

ENERGY
Partnership with China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) Limited in Bangladesh offshore Exploration and Production Block SS-08-01. Reviewed heavy oil development project (bitumen reserves) of Madagascar Oil Limited for asset acquisition by Mubadala Development of Abu Dhabi. Negotiated sale of Petroleum asset of a client with Chevron Corporation. Held Net Profit Interest in Occidental Petroleum's Bangladesh Production Sharing Contracts for Blocks 12, 13 and 14. Served as the Principal Advisor to Occidental Oil and Gas Corporation to negotiate Petroleum exploration rights in Bangladesh. In 1995, Occidental became the first major International oil company to sign two Production

Sharing Contracts with the Government of Bangladesh (Block 12 and Blocks 13 & 14). Provided project development and implementation services to ABB Randall Corporation (USA) and AMEC Group (UK) to build and commission the first Turbo-Expander (90 MMSCF/D) natural gas plant at Kailashtilla, Bangladesh under British DFID finance (USD40 million). Provided project development services to Gulf Resources Corporation (UK) for oil and gas development initiatives in the Philippines, Madagascar, Malaysia, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. Acted as an Advisor to Smith Cogeneration (Tulsa) for 110 MW IPP Power Plant proposal at Haripur, Bangladesh. Introduced polyethylene pipes for gas distribution in Bangladesh.

 

COUNTRY PROGRAMS AND SECTORIAL STRATEGIES
Prepared operational strategies and political risk analysis for UNOCAL Corporation (USA) on Bangladesh. Developed marketing strategies for gas based industries. Prepared economic analysis and marketing documents on natural gas export to India for Gulf Resources Corporation (UK). Business Development Advisor to WS Atkins (UK) for consulting services on Long-Term Strategic Transport Plan for the city of Dhaka. Submitted technical proposal with ICF Consulting (USA) to USTDA on Strategic Gas Utilization for Bangladesh.

 

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES
Developed operational start-up plans for Occidental of Bangladesh, including engagement of local personnel and logistical support. Provided project implementation support services to UNOCAL Bangladesh Limited for obtaining permits and necessary approvals from Petrobangla and various Government agencies for import and re-export of oil field operational and production equipment; environmental (DOE) clearances; security clearances; work permit and immigration services; daily news briefing; public relations and government liaison. In association with Southern Alberta Institute of Technology organized overseas training in Canada for over 100 petroleum engineers and managers from Bangladesh.

 

PROCUREMENT and REPRESENTATION
Represent RUAG Aerospace (Germany) in the Asia Pacific countries for re-marketing of German Armed Forces helicopters and Domier 228 new generation air craft. Represent Rolls-Royce Germany for repair and maintenance services to the Philippine Air Force for UH-1 helicopter engines [Honeywell T-53]. Represent DRILLMAC (Italy) in Asia for sale of drilling rigs and oilfield equipment. Provide business development and representative services to several international group of companies including: CYBERMAX (Singapore); FATS, Inc / Meggitt PLC (Georgia, USA); H2V Capital Partners (San Francisco, USA); INTERLINK Solutions (Virginia, USA); PAGE EUROPA (Rome, Italy); RAMP & Co (London, England); SCOPE Imports (Houston, Texas); The West Clinic, Singapore; Romar International, New York; Trans Energy, Manila, Philippines.

 

FINANCIAL ADVISORY SERVICES
Provide financial advisory and project finance services to private enterprises and investors with emphasis on limited recourse project financing. Also facilitate international sales by arranging short and medium-term export/import loans and credits. Conducted petroleum asset valuations. Negotiated sale of petroleum assets with a major international oil company. Assisted in the establishment of a national bank in Africa.

 

TRADING and MANUFACTURING
Manages over $10 million annual export program from Bangladesh to the United States in textile and finished garments involving over 15 factories in Chittagong and Dhaka.
